The Yellow Dwelling: Christmas Collection
Duration: 2 Months

The Yellow Dwelling’s journey began in 2017 with a search for quality home furnishings that are unique, tasteful yet affordable. The brand’s motto is to create happy homes where style and comfort meets their customers through sustainable and eco-friendly products and manufacturing practices.

The Christmas Collection was created being mindful of a westernised concept of a white Christmas to the Indian market. Quintessential imageries of Christmas trees and reindeers was paired with cinnamon sticks, pine cones and dried oranges beaconing one for a mulled wine for the holiday seasons.

The iteration process started by researching about home decor colour forecasts for the year 2019. We chose to work with plums and greys along with hints of sage green for a new spin on the classic white, red and green Christmas themed items found in the market.
Inspiration for motifs was drawn from ingredients of mulled wine, vintage postcards and ugly knit Christmas sweaters. Instead of tartans we chose burlap as our accompanying fabric staying true to The Yellow Dwelling's belief in the use of natural and sustainable fibres.
The final collection houses a number of products; Curatins, bedsheets, tableware and throw cushions.

One can find the collection available in their stores and online on their website.
