The company Carousel was founded in 2013, the idea behind Carousel was simple; to create a beautiful space in the form of an art cafe with cozy interiors, warm lights, freshly brewed coffee and happy people. A place where pretty home decor products would come to life.
Carousel had just partnered with its first retail outlet-partner , Qirq Station, to start selling their products. They were looking for an effective packaging solution that would be budget friendly, stand out and could quickly be brought into production.

Peach.in: Illustration
Peach Store is a female hygiene product company based in Bangalore, India. The collaboration called The Peach Initiative aimed to create a community of women illustrators and showcase their interpretation of the question "What does being a woman mean to me?"
9 artists (myself included) were asked to illustrate this question. We each had our own interpretations; which have been turned into postcards and will be available to all customers who purchase product from Peach Store.
Inspired by the work of Jamini Roy's "Three Pujarins", this illustration strives to examine "Why contemporaneity/ modernity ought to be symbolised by a women's western attire? Isn't womanhood tolerant enough of ones origins yet envision their future goals and aspirations?".
On reading about Jamini Roy's philosophy on making art accessible to the common folk, The Peach Initiative was attempting to do the same and hence was the direction I chose to work with when it came to the artwork.
