The company Carousel was founded in 2013, the idea behind Carousel was simple; to create a beautiful space in the form of an art cafe with cozy interiors, warm lights, freshly brewed coffee and happy people. A place where pretty home decor products would come to life.

Carousel had just partnered with its first retail outlet-partner , Qirq Station, to start selling their products. They were looking for an effective packaging solution that would be budget friendly, stand out and could quickly be brought into production.

Store Design & Visual Merchandising
In the realm of store design and visual merchandizing, the genesis of The Yellow Dwelling was marked by a modest boutique occupying an intimate sub-1,000 sq ft space. Over the span of 4 years, our involvement with the brand catalyzed it's evolution into a network of establishments spanning the nation's landscape. From Bangalore to Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, The Yellow Dwelling's presence now dots the map.

The pivotal juncture arose with the inauguration of the first franchise outlet in Hyderabad. This opportunity underscored the necessity to distill and codify their design philosophy into a replicable model. This endeavour sought to encapsulate the essence of their thriving Bangalore store, converting it into a blueprint for future ventures.

Our interventions draws inspiration from both product-oriented insights and discerning customer behavioural patterns. Keen observation and interpreting these dynamics, we proposed design interventions that resonate with the brand's ethos and resonate with the preferences of its clientele.
Presenting the curtain bay area within the store—a dedicated space meticulously designed to showcase the array of available customization options. This innovative section not only guides customers through the process of selecting the perfect curtain for their space but also offers a tactile experience of all the designs.

A similar challenge arose in the case of the brand's wooden wall decor items, initially which were causing visual clutter within the store and failing to effectively highlight the products. As the range of Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) expanded, the task of displaying these items grew more complex. To address this, we introduced a meshed wall concept complete with adjustable shelves. This solution not only provided an organized display but also opened doors for future product innovations within the available space.

Given the brand's trajectory of growth, it was imperative that the retail spaces not only offer an experiential journey for customers but also remain adaptable to accommodate forthcoming product innovations. This approach ensures that the store environments not only engage the customers but also serve as a canvas for showcasing the brand's evolving offerings.
